ASTRA TECH
is one of the biggest additions to the MENA region’s ever-growing technology ecosystem. It has received $500 million in backing from various strategic investors and partners, bringing the company one step closer to its vision of launching an ultra-platform.
BOTIM will be integrated into Astra’s Ultra application to offer users an all-in-one solution for their day-to-day needs. The app will provide free voice and video calls as well as money transfers in the UAE and abroad, phone top ups and bill payments locally and internationally. It will also allow users to pay bills and access government services through the app, as well as order food and groceries with ease.
Commenting on this milestone acquisition for Astra Tech, CEO Ali Al Shamsi said: “We are delighted to welcome BOTIM into our portfolio; it is a great addition that further strengthens our position in the MENA region.” He added: “This acquisition allows us to offer our customers a comprehensive suite of services under one roof – from digital payments to home cleaning – making life easier for them.”
